Megan Hadenfelt
Intern - Chesterton Highschool
My name is Megan Hadenfelt, and I am a senior at Chesterton High School. I have been around horses my whole life. When choosing my internship, I knew I wanted it to be something horse-related. When I saw Reins of Life on the list, I knew that it would be perfect. I have always had a connection with Reins. My aunt donated a horse, Lickety Split, in 2007, and my grandma was a volunteer here. I have always had a passion for horses, and Reins does just that. At Reins, I get to see so many kids go from non-verbal to speaking, and very shy kids become very outgoing. Many of the horses have a special bond with their rider, and it shows greatly. After high school, my plan is to go to Valparasio University, and I hope to gain an internship with horse training and working with horses.
