Carson is a senior at Chesterton High School, which offers a diverse internship program. Carson found Reins of Life through this program and after doing some research decided to try it out. After starting to volunteer in May of 2024, Carson fell in love with horses and the incredible impact they can have on someone's mental and emotional well-being. She loves working with students and seeing them progress as time passes. You can find her at the barn in riding, vaulting, and driving classes throughout the week and feeding on the weekend. She has also observed equine-assisted psychotherapy and has developed a passion for it. Her favorite part of Reins is the welcoming environment and that everyone treats everyone like family. Carson plans to attend Butler University in the fall majoring in psychology with the goal of becoming a mental health counselor.
