Beth Cortelyou

Volunteer Coordinator & Feeder Coordinator

(Michigan City)

After college, Beth worked with adults with physical and/or mental disabilities, serving them as they developed life and work skills. When her first child was born, she quit her job and later home educated her three children. She and her daughters volunteered at many different places over the years including a nursing home, Pioneer Land, local park, animal shelter, and youth camps.

Beth started volunteering at Reins of Life with her daughter in 2016. After three years, she was asked to participate in the AmeriCorps program as the Special Programs Coordinator in Michigan City. After the year-long AmeriCorps term, Beth was hired part-time to be the Volunteer Coordinator, and the next year, took on the role of the Feeder Coordinator as well.
