Volunteer Coordinator & Administrator for Reins of Life Special Programs
After college, Beth worked with adults with physical and/or mental disabilities, serving them as they developed life and work skills. When her first child was born, she quit her job and later home educated her three children. She and her daughters volunteered at many different places over the years including a nursing home, Pioneer Land, local park, animal shelter, and youth camps. She and her youngest daughter started volunteering for the Michigan City Reins of Life school program in 2016.
Funded by the Porter County AmeriCorps Partnership Program, the position of “Volunteer Coordinator and Administrator for Reins of Life Special Programs in Michigan City” was offered to Beth in the fall of 2018. As an AmeriCorps member assigned to Reins of Life, she looks forward to facilitating and developing the scope of the Special Programs to help Reins reach even more people in the community.
