Maintenance – Michigan City
I worked 32 years for the Weil-McLain Company in Michigan City serving as a Manufacturing Engineer for 15 years, Human Resourses Manager for 5 years and headed the Customer Service Department for 12 years. During this time I obtained a degree in Industrial Engineering Technology from Purdue North Central and a BA Degree in the Management of Human Resources from Bethel College (South Bend).
I first became involved with Reins of Life 5 years ago after meeting Dorota Janik at a MC Chamber of Commerce event. After that meeting I was asked by Dorota if I would join her committee for the planning of Rein’s first Kentucky Derby fundraising event which I was pleased to do.
From that point on, I was hooked on Reins of Life and became a volunteer assisting with the planning of subsequent fundraising events as well as serving as a Reins Ambassador. I have also served as a side walker and then a leader. I now serve in the capacity of overseeing the maintenance needs at the MC barn which I enjoy immensely.
