THE CHARIOT RACE

We are very excited that this year's Keough Hall signature event,

the Chariot Race will benefit Reins of Life!

ā€‹

Reins of Life promotes an inclusive environment for persons from all walks of life, ages, and abilities. All funds raised at this event will go towards purchasing a SureHands mechanical lift, which will be a big part of the expansion and improvement of our South Bend facility.

 

Mounting and dismounting a person with decreased mobility to the horse or into the carriage, especially when it is an adolescent or an adult, requires the assistance of multiple strong volunteers. The SureHands will eliminate a significant barrier in our services, not only eliminating the number of strong volunteers needed but also providing a safer and more efficient way to prepare participants for the activity. The SureHands Lift is not just a piece of equipment, it's a symbol of our commitment to inclusivity and equality. ā€‹

Chariot Race Registration


All registrations for the event are on a donation basis. There are two main options for registration:

  1. Build Your Own Chariot ($50 donation minimum per team) OR

  2. Keough-Built Chariot ($75 donation minimum per team)


*Teams must consist of 5 players (4 racers and 1 rider). Notre Dame Residence Halls must select their dorm name when registering.

** If donating to the campaign, but not racing a chariot, please select "Alumni, Friends, and Supporters" from the drop down menu.
