Benefit Dressage Show

Reins of Life Michigan City

     10.02-03.2021

The registration for Reins of Life October shows is open. Attached, please find the new show bills for our upcoming shows on October 2 & 3 (2 shows, 2 days, 2 different judges). We continue with a hybrid version.  In order to avoid crowds and crossing paths, please arrive no earlier than two hours before your ride time. The judge will be on the premises.

Our modifications to the traditional settings of the show:

  • No overnight stabling available.

  • Riders from the same barn may be scheduled and arrive together.

  • The test rides in the Reins outdoor arena may be videotaped by ROL staff from judges' point of view like last year (one of the favorite features from last year).

  • Even though tests will be scored the day of the show, placing in the class results will assessed after last ride for a day in the given class and ribbons and certificates will be mailed within the next week.

  • The forms and payments (along with current negative Coggins) should be mailed to Dorota Janik, Reins of Life, 55200 Quince Rd., South Bend, IN 46619.

  • Same pricing for classes as 2019.

  • Equitation classes are back.

We will try to accommodate everyone's needs and schedules to the best of our ability.

If you are interested in having more rides counted toward Year End rewards and receiving two feedbacks (two different USDF judges), please let me know and I will try to arrange for that. To receive two evaluations, it will require double payment per class entered just like the participation in two shows.

Registration closes on Friday September 24.

NEW this year: both ROL Dressage Shows will be hosted at our Michigan City location.

Estimated time allocations per individual rider/horse combo:

  • 45 min settling in and preparation time (arriving, parking, getting dressed, tacking horse, exercising, lunging etc.),

  • 15 min warm-up time,

  • 7 min per ride (per class),

  • 5 min break between riding times,

  • 30 min wrapping up and departing.

We will create a schedule to allow for a limited number of the guests at Reins of Life at any given time as well as limit overlap between parties.

If you are unable to come on both days and are interested in having more rides counted toward Year End rewards and receiving two feedbacks (two different USDF judges), please let me know and I will try to arrange for that. To receive two evaluations, it will require double payment per class entered just like the participation in two shows.
