Reins of Life Therapeutic Horse Back Riding Lessons

"There are some things in life that go beyond the realm of verbal expression. The colloquialism, 'Words cannot express,' is often used when one wants to share emotion. So if it is that particular events cannot be given proper justice through written or oral praises, how does a person pass on their feelings? The only way is to have someone share in the experience. For this sole purpose, I encourage anyone who wishes to witness and feel pure joy, power, freedom, and love to not only visit, but also participate in Reins of Life."
Mark Wilson, Volunteer

No experience is necessary. Training is provided. Class volunteers attend a three-hour training session where they learn the proper method of working with our special riders and horses. Volunteers are asked to sign up for a minimum of 1 ½ hour a week. They are then assigned the same rider for the length of the session.

Instructors
All instructors are NARHA certified. We currently have two full time instructor on staff and three part-time volunteer instructors. If you would like to become a NARHA registered instructor, contact us for more information.

"Reins provides our youth, whether college-bound or still in school, the opportunity to learn the value of volunteerism, to appreciate their own health and well-being, and develop good moral values."

Lisa Shafer, instructor
