Therapeutic Horseback Riding

OUR MISSION:

To improve the quality of life for children and adults with disabilities through equine-assisted therapy.

Horseback riding is recognized as a beneficial mode of therapy by The American Physical Therapy Association and The American Occupational Therapy Association.

Who We Are

A NARHA/PATH Premier accredited facility since its inception in 1978, Reins of Life, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that serves children and adults with disabilities through equine-assisted activities.  The original facility is located in South Bend, Indiana.  A second facility was opened in Michigan City in 2007.  More than 500 Reins riders come from an estimated 100-mile radius that includes St. Joseph, Marshall, Elkhart, Fulton, Porter, Starke and LaPorte Counties in Indiana, and Berrien and Cass Counties in Michigan.
